The first thing that struck me with Faern’s photography is her relationship with light, her ability to dance with it to bring out a person’s essence with ease, grace and softness is extraordinary. Faern is a joy to work with, her competence, creativity, experience, versatility and openness to ideas and collaboration is a very attractive package. In this shoot, she worked with KK Ledford, who was the stylist, as well as the model.  KK’s style is quite eye-catching, unique and cutting edge.  Her look is delicate yet powerful and a bit mischievous.  I loved her use of the bright orange eye-shadow with the earthy lace dress, the ensemble complemented the amulet wonderfully and the set chosen by Faern was perfect.  I was blown away! I look forward to hiring these talented women again for my future collections.

She delivered a beautiful wedding package that still makes me emotional when I look at it and remember all those little things that happened.

Faern has an intuitive sense of the interplays between the human form, the landscape and the light. She and I did an afternoon photo shoot on a warm, slightly windy San Francisco day. I wasn’t entirely comfortable in front of the camera at first, but Faern eased my nervousness in a matter of minutes and soon I was feeling relaxed and natural under the lens of the camera. She helped by giving me gentle direction as to how best to utilize the background and the light patterns to create a perfect portrait. After we finished shooting at the first location, we drove to the embarcadero to take more photos in a different setting. With only a quarter in change for the meter (8 minutes in San Francisco time) Faern captured some of the most classic and gorgeous photos of the entire shoot. I honestly can’t recommend Faern enough. She is an extremely gifted photographer, and a pleasure to work with.

I have worked on several photo shoots with Faern, and I am extremely pleased with the photos and appreciative of her professionalism as a photographer. The artistic integrity and creative quality that defines her work is inspiring.The photos that highlight a particular piece of jewelry or clothing capture the beauty of those pieces, and the asana photography in which the I am the focus allows an aspect of my personality to shine through. I love the play of light and shadows in Faern’s work, and her depth of understanding regarding nuance, texture, and flow.I wholeheartedly recommend Faern for a wide variety of photography adventures. I have worked with Faern a few times in a few different capacities over the last few years and it is an absolute pleasure to work with her.  She took some amazing photos of me for promotional purposes and her use of color and composition is truly striking and unique.  She just captures something really special in every shot.  I am also a fan of her jewelery and artwork, I own a few pieces of her jewelery and her use of semi precious stones and the way she puts them together again is truly unique and captures something special about the beads she uses.  I will definitely be using her again for any band photos or any other special photo needs.  And there are a few pieces of her jewelery I still have my eye on.  She really is a multi-talented artist and one of the key things about her is she really listens to your vision and can make it manifest with her many skills.
