FAERN

Making art is something that has always come naturally to me. My grandfather was also an artist and when I was young, I would set up a little table next to his desk and we would work on our drawings together in Los Angeles, where I grew up. After graduating from an arts-oriented high school I moved around quite a bit, and eventually ended up in Santa Barbara, California where I received a B.A. in art studio. Every place I lived, I continued to grow immensely in my art and added new facets to my photography, painting and jewelry styles. Currently I reside in San Francisco California where I take on commission oil painting projects, as well as continue my photography and jewelry work.
Faernworks are examples of my current pieces, a sample of my style of approach in a variety of subject matter and media. All things organic in nature influence my work: the process of life, growth, duality. Every layer of paint is a new insight to the image at hand, each step in the process is as enthralling as the end result. The act of doing is what I love, finding satisfaction in knowing what is hidden beneath the layers which act as building blocks of the completed piece.
